Welche Limnophila ?

I am pretty sure it's the plant sold as normal Limnophila aromatica in Asia.

I tried to find more about this plant a while back and the only thing I could find was that in the US they called it Limnophila sp. Broad.

I have grown this and limnophila belem both emerse and submerse and they are nearly identical apart from coloration. I wouldn't be surprised if the belem is a variegation of this plant. I will try to get some flowers out of both in the greenhouse next year.

What do you think about photo #3, from biker, in the L. aromatica database entry? Rather the "Asian aromatica" = Thomas' and Andreas' plant, or the "Belem"?

ich kannte die Aromatica zumindest bislang von der Form her nur wie die Hippuruides nur halt mit weniger Blättern pro Achsel und idr. eben nicht violettrot (wie Hippuruides)

Dann ist deine Pflanze wahrscheinlich die, die hier im Forum schon mal den Arbeitsnamen "hippuridoides Green" bekommen hatte. Dürfte das sein, was Tropica zur Zeit als L. aromatica führt (und von hippuridoides unterscheidet). Ich schließe nicht aus, dass die tatsächlich botanisch zu L. aromatica zählt.

Fazit: hinter dem Label Limnophila aromatica können sich offenbar ganz schön unterschiedliche Pflanzen verbergen, je nach Anbieter / Exporteur :? :roll:

Leider ist mir der Beitrag erst heute aufgefallen. Es ist keine eigene Aufsammlung sondern ein Zufallsfund. Die Pflanze wird ab und zu aus Asien als Limnophila aromatica importiert. Unter Wasser sehr ähnlich der von Kasselmann beschriebenen Limnophila aromatica 'Mini' , die Blüten sind allerdings violett-weiß statt rosa.

Kannst du dich eventuell an unterschiedliche Blütenstiel-Längen erinnern? Weil danach teilweise die nicht-gefiederten Limnophila-Arten in der "Flora of China" unterschieden werden: http://www.efloras.org/florataxon.aspx?flora_id=2&taxon_id=118595

An die Blütenstiellängen kann ich mich nicht mehr erinnern, schaue aber nochmal wenn sich die Bestände wieder erholt haben.
